Titled Duet, the exhibition is inspired by conversations around duality, yin and yang, partnerships, twins and two spirits, and mirrors and reflections. The curators are hoping to explore the allure of the duet, a dance of tension between two opposing forces, the “do-si-do your partner”, the pas de deux, the vulnerability of companionship, the spirit of double dutch, the energetic link of twins, the uncanny doppelgänger, the mirror image/selfie/digital avatar, the good fortune of ibeyi, the terrible twos and the power of a dynamic duo.
