"If only these walls could talk" - in keeping with this phrase, the exhibition traces the artistic exploration of the wall as a room boundary. 30 international positions from 1966 to 2020 are shown, in which walls are thematized in different ways.
Walls stand on the one hand for the protection of the individual, on the other hand they can lock in and deny access. As a space-creating architectural element, they help determine our living spaces and are involved in identity-creating processes.
