Laurent Grasso: Anima

Laurent Grasso has imagined a new series of paintings “Studies into the Past”. The forest of Mont Sainte-Odile, his place of inspiration, responds to the forest of columns of the Cistercian vault of the Collège des Bernardins, on which are fixed, by a bronze hanging system, a series of oils on wood. The artist was inspired by the Dutch 17th century featuring historical interiors. More specifically the hanging of obiit, these funerary coats of arms placed on the pillars of churches.
