Solo Sculpture Trail is an open-air sculpture park featuring artworks and new productions created in dialogue with the Matarraña landscape, with the monumental Puertos de Tortosa-Beceite Natural Park as a backdrop.
Starting at the Venta d'Aubert winery, the Solo Sculpture Trail extends over 3 kilometers of paths and landscapes of vineyards, fields of ancient olive trees, and forests.
“The tour is punctuated by works that share a critical reflection on a world in degradation, on the verge of collapse, while another group of sculptures points towards reconstruction, imagining new ways of relating to the environment, matter and other forms of life.” – Eva Albarrán and Christian Bourdais
With the Solo Sculpture Trail, artists are invited to create and present works beyond the traditional confines of the gallery, forming an ongoing dialogue with nature. The works offer spaces for pause and contemplation and establish a unique ecosystem with the landscape and the visitor, engaging them in these conversations.
The Solo Sculpture Trail is located within Solo Houses, the avant-garde architecture and landscape project by the Albarrán Bourdais gallery. With the goal of preserving and promoting the natural beauty of the site, the 200 hectares of Solo Houses also include the Venta d'Aubert organic and regenerative agriculture winery.
The Solo Sculpture Trail continues the three editions of the "Solo Summer Group Show" sculpture exhibitions. With this new format, it opens year-round with more than twenty works and a program of events that aims to foster discussions around design, art, and nature.
