Press Release

Sean Kelly announces that we will be exhibiting at the inaugural edition of the Frieze Art Fair on Randall’s Island in New York. We look forward to welcoming you to the fair, where we will present a carefully selected group of new and important works by gallery artists. Our booth (Stand B25) will feature a major early multi-panel glass work by Joseph Kosuth, new sculptures by Los Carpinteros, Iran do Espírito Santo, Antony Gormley, Wolfgang Laib and Peter Liversidge, a new work by Terence Koh, and photographs by James Casebere, Robert Mapplethorpe, Alec Soth and Frank Thiel.

Responding to the light-filled, bespoke structure that will house Frieze New York, the gallery has curated an elegant, minimal booth, focusing on poetic connections between the uses of light and materiality in the work of the gallery's artists. This fair will also be the first occasion that we will exhibit work by Terence Koh, who recently joined the gallery, and whose new gold diptych beautifully aligns with the themes at work in our booth.

Also on view in New York during the fair will be two Kehinde Wiley exhibitions. The gallery's first solo exhibition of new work by Wiley, titled An Economy of Grace, will open with a reception on Saturday, May 5th from 6 to 8 pm and will be on view at Sean Kelly through June 16. An Economy of Grace will premiere a brand new body of work and coincides with the launch of a major new monograph published by Rizzoli. For more information on An Economy of Grace and the monograph, please visit our website. Also on view during Frieze New York is Wiley's exhibition The World Stage: Israel at The Jewish Museum. For more information on The World Stage: Israel, please visit the The Jewish Museum's website.
