Sean Kelly is delighted to announce that Janaina Tschäpe will be in conversation with art historian Joachim Pissarro on Saturday, September 28 at 11am at Sean Kelly, New York. The discussion will be followed by a book signing of her new publication.
Published in conjunction with Tschäpe's exhibition, a sky filled with clouds and the smell of blood oranges, this major new monograph, Janaina Tschäpe, extensively documents Tschäpe’s work over the past seven years, alongside installation images of her museum and gallery exhibitions worldwide. A new essay by Joachim Pissarro delves into the literary and historical references that shape and inform Tschäpe's approach to painting. This publication documents a prolific period of creativity and boundary-pushing use of media.
Copies of the publication will be available for purchase at the gallery on the day of the event.
