James Casebere Awarded the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant

Sean Kelly Gallery is delighted to congratulate James Casebere on being awarded the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a distinguished honor that recognizes exceptional artistic achievement and provides critical support to visual artists around the world.

In keeping with Lee Krasner’s mission to advance the work of visual artists, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation has, to date, awarded more than 5,200 grants totaling over $94 million across 80 countries. For over four decades, this support has played a vital role in enabling artists to create new work, acquire essential materials, and maintain the time and space necessary for rigorous studio practice.

James Casebere’s innovative engagement with architecture, light, and constructed space has long defined his singular contribution to contemporary photography. We are thrilled that his work has been recognized by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, whose mission so closely aligns with nurturing groundbreaking artistic inquiry. Casebere’s work is currently on view in his exhibition, The Spatial Unconscious at The Williamsburg Biannual in Brooklyn through January 17, 2026.

We extend our warmest congratulations to James on this well-deserved achievement.
