German-Brazilian artist Janaina Tschäpe held a solo exhibition in the Irish Museum of Modern Art in the Summer of 2008, structured around the genetics of the fabled beast from ancient myth Chimera. With bright botanical notations, intertwined with extraordinary film and photographic works, she created an environment of dream and fantasy--where the everyday world metamorphosed into a mythical place populated by fabricated creatures and florescent vegetation. This book recorded the exhibitions and gave it context and commentary.
