The exhibition shows works of art from the fields of painting, drawing, photography, artist books, book objects and installations. Here, the magic and charisma of the book is investigated. Sensory and tactile components, the choice of paper, the design, the way a book fits in the hand, but also the book as a store of time, knowledge and culture that is available at all times – all these components identify the book as a complex subject , whose social and cultural importance is only becoming apparent in its full scope at the very moment when it is being marginalized by the advance of the digital age.
