The Rubin Museum of Art will host the US premiere of Just Trial and Error: Conversations on Consciousness, a film featuring Antony Gormley. The film, by Alex Gabbay, explores the idea of consciousness, tracing its narrative arc through interviews with Gormley as well as eminent neuroscientists Brian Butterworth and Beau Lotto and internet entrepreneur Twain Luu. Just Trial and Error presents insights on topics including the human brain, global consciousness, perception, the role of the internet and the space that art occupies. Set against a lingering score by Wajid Hassan, the film crafts a spirited debate through exploring both opposing and harmonious views of the topic from the perspectives of science, technology and art. Each viewing will be followed by a discussion; the film will be screened four times between February 15th and 22nd:
Wednesday, February 15
at 7:00pm
Saturday, February 18
at 2:00pm
Saturday, February 18

Wednesday, February 22
